Happy Wednesday, loves!
I’m so excited to share with you my very first book recommendation for August. I can’t wait to share it with you all and hear your thoughts on the read!
Each month, I plan to share one of my favorite books, either that I read the month prior or one of my classics. I promise, there will be a wide variety of books. I absolutely love to read, and I’m always taking recommendations from my friends, family and Barnes and Noble emails. 🙂 So I hope that through my recommendations, you’ll find something you love!
Now… for my August book recommendation… This is one of those “classics” of mine, a book that I have picked up multiple times over the past year. You’ll completely get lost in the beautiful prose and in the thoughts and feelings it inspires.
Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur
Guys. Guys. Guys. This is my favorite collection of poetry that I have ever had the honor of reading. I know that sounds like an oversell, but it isn’t.
Milk and Honey is a beautifully written collection all about surviving this world as a woman. I found that through each chapter, wounds that I thought were gone, were finally healing. I felt heard. I felt understood. I felt supported.
The chapters each serve a different purpose, covering a pain and healing you in a new way. Exploring violence, abuse, love, loss and femininity, you close this book with a deeper understanding of yourself. I promise you, you will crave more Rupi Kaur, and you will never be disappointed by anything of hers.
Now – head over to Barnes & Noble and get this book for yourself or a friend. You won’t regret it!
